Alison Kim

Alison Kim is an author, illustrator and graphic designer, living in California with her husband and their sweet dog, Peanut. She has always believed that children’s books are the best things in the whole wide world. After having the good fortune of working in awesome creative environments, including Pixar, ModCloth and Office: Jason Schulte Design, she decided to take a leap and make her ultimate dream of creating picture books come true.

Alison has always been drawn to words and pictures, which led to BA degrees in Art and English from UC Berkeley, and an MFA in Graphic Design from the Academy of Art. She happily helps spread the joy of reading to kids as a Reading Partners volunteer tutor and she is a member of SCBWI. A selection of her work can be viewed at alisonkim.com.
