Michael Belanger

Michael Belanger is a young adult author, high school teacher, and amateur historian. He is a member of the Westport Writers’ Workshop and proud faculty advisor to Greenwitch, a high school literary magazine that has published talented young writers—including Truman Capote—for over a hundred years. Belanger received his MA in American Studies from Fairfield University, where he wrote his first novel under the mentorship of acclaimed writer Nicholas Rinaldi. His latest project is a young adult novel that has nothing to do with magic, vampires, or debilitating diseases. Instead, to avoid being cliché, it’s about two disgruntled teenagers who fall in love. He currently lives in Connecticut.
