Robert Meganck
Robert Meganck thinks of illustration as “drawing with a point of view.” Robert started out as a graphic designer who liked to draw and, when approaching an assignment, he still thinks in terms of a fully designed image, using shapes rather than photo references to construct his illustrations. He has received over 300 regional, national, and international awards for illustration and graphic design work, and been recognized for excellence by such organizations as The Society of Illustrators New York, The Society of Illustrators Los Angeles, and American Illustration. His clients have included Cricket, the Washington Post, the Harvard Business Review, Newsweek, The New Republic, The Boston Globe, and Prentiss Hall publishing. Robert is a professor of illustration, graphic design, and digital imaging, and Chair of the Department of Communication Arts at Virginia Commonwealth University. He lives with his wife in beautiful, historical Richmond, Virginia. Visit www.meganck.com.
