S.britt, a former railroad model and model prisoner, first developed his zeal for drawing in childhood, when he drew on anything and on everything that wasn’t dripping wet. He soon decided that there was nothing that would make him happier than illustrating children's books. Publishers Weekly said of his picture book, Over In the Hollow (Chronicle, 2009) "…[there are].enough ghoulish creatures to satisfy even the most diehard Halloween fans." The book was awarded a Chicago Public Library Best of the Best. His clients include Chronicle Books, Hyperion Books, Penguin Putnam, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, Little Brown, Nickelodeon, The New York Times, and BUST magazine. Visit www.sbritt.com.
