Stephanie Roth Sisson

Stephanie Roth Sisson, like most lucky kids who grow up with books, developed a special relationship with them. Born in Germany and moved often. Books were steady companions, curiosities, teachers and treasures. Now, she considers it an honor to create them for new generations of kids. Her books include STAR STUFF: Carl Sagan and the Mysteries of the Cosmos that earned A School Library Journal Best Books of the Year, Bank Street Best Children's Book of the Year, Vermont Red Clover Children's Choice A ML, California Book Awards Master List, ALA Notable Children's Books, Orbis Pictus Honor Book as well as starred reviews from Kirkus,  School Library Journal and the Horn Book.  Also SPRING AFTER SPRING: How Rachel Carson Inspired the Environmental Movement whose accolades include:  An NSTA 2019 Outstanding Science
Trade Books selection, An NSTA 2019 Best STEM Books selection, An NCSS and CBC Notable Socials Studies Trade Books for Young People selection, 2019 Green Prize Winner Santa Monica Public Library, Junior Library Guild Gold Standard Selection. In addition to her own books, she has illustrated well over 60 books including The Princess Posey Series written by Stephanie Greene.
