Adam Gustavson has illustrated over 30 books for children and his work has appeared in magazines, exhibitions, and murals. His children’s books have received the Sydney Taylor Honor, a Bank Street Best Books of the Year, an Amelia Bloomer Award, a CBC Children’s Choices Award, and starred reviews from Booklist, Kirkus, and Publishers Weekly. His first picture book as author-illustrator, The Froggies Do NOT Want to Sleep (Charlesbridge) was praised as “a zany, rib-tickling bedtime tour de force” by Kirkus in a starred review. A sequel, The Aliens Do NOT Want to Go Home is forthcoming. Adam holds an MFA from the School of Visual Arts and teaches at the Rowan University in Philadelphia. He lives in New Jersey, with his wife and a neurotic miniature poodle, plays a varied array of instruments and sings in a band, and makes some pretty awesome snow sculptures.
