Antara Raman is an Indian illustrator living in India. From a young age Antara loved telling stories, often in the form of elaborately performed skits watched by her hapless friends. Mercifully, she’s moved on to the book format since then. There are many things that fascinate and inspire her to keep drawing, but her muses of choice are usually any member of the animal kingdom, history, and humor. She enjoys working with a limited color palette, using a mixture of analog and digital techniques to achieve the layered effect of Risograph printmaking. Antara is happy to work on children’s books for all ages, but is particularly drawn to picture-books, board books, and illustrated non-fiction.
