Brenda Reeves Sturgis is the author of several picture books, including 10 Turkeys in the Road, The Lake Where Loon Lives, Still a Family, BroomMates, and After the Shelter upcoming in 2026. She lives in Maine at the edge of the woods where she is lucky to enough to watch wild turkeys, deer and an occassional bear in the backyard. She is married to her husband of 28-years, the mother of four children and grandmother of eight grandchildren.
