Eileen Rajala Meyer is an award-winning children’s author, poet, and school presenter. Her picture books include Build a Sandcastle (Reycraft Books) and The Superlative A. Lincoln: Poems About Our 16th President(Charlesbridge Publishing)—a Florida State Book Award Silver Medal Winner for Older Children’s Literature and an Illinois READS selection. Her poems have appeared in children’s magazines and anthologies, including Schoolapalooza (Bushel & Peck Books). Eileen is a member of the Rhyme Doctors team and shares articles about many aspects of poetry and rhyme in a free monthly newsletter. When she’s not busy working on writing projects, Eileen loves spending time with her family and friends, following her favorite sports teams, and searching for sea glass on the beach in sunny Florida.
