Francesca Aiello is an Italian illustrator and author based in Madrid, where she studied engraving and printmaking. Her work blends traditional techniques with the creative possibilities of digital tools, reflecting her ongoing exploration of the world around her. Her work has been recognized several times by the prestigious Bologna Children’s Book Fair, first with her debut book shortlisted for the Opera Prima Prize at the BRAW Award, and later with her illustrations featured in the Italian Excellence. Illustrations for Italo Calvino exhibition, celebrating the centennial of the iconic Italian author. She collaborates with publishers in Italy and abroad, with recent works including Ogni cosa al suo posto and Una splendida giornata.
