Heegyum Kim is a Korean illustrator with a background in graphic design, based in New York. She works mostly from her cozy home studio, accompanied by her two nosy corgis. Her work is inspired by daily life, nature, her dogs, and childhood memories.
She primarily enjoys working with traditional dry media, but she’s never shy about experimenting with new materials. She loves storytelling through her humorous and quirky characters, bringing each one to life with a unique personality.
When she’s not drawing, you’ll likely find her in the kitchen cooking something savory or whipping up a batch of homemade vanilla ice cream.
Heegyum is represented by Eve Adler.
