Jed Alexander’s first picture book Red (Cameron & Co.) received a starred review from Publishers Weekly, which wrote, “Riffs on Little Red Hiding Hood are many, but there’s always room for more, especially when they’re as good as this.” Red’s follow-up Gold received another starred review, this time from Kirkus, which raved that it “belongs on every bookshelf.” The New York Times also praised the book, writing, “Alexander has turned the key on Goldilocks, unlocked her, and turned her into Gold.” Jed’s third book in the wordless fairy tale series, Olive, was chosen for the Society of Illustrator’s Original Art Show and a fourth book in the series, Ginger, will follow shortly. His first middle-grade novel, The Black Market, is forthcoming from Union Square & Co. Jed’s work has appeared in Nickelodeon, Spongebob Comics, and Cricket Magazine.
Jed is represented by Abigail Samoun.
