After working as an editorial director for Random House BFYR, Jen Arena switched over to the other side of publishing and now writes all kinds of books for kids—fiction and nonfiction, funny and serious, prose and rhyme. Her most popular titles include Acorn Was a Little Wild, which was named to nine state award lists, Marta! Big and Small, a CCBC Choices and Mathical Honor Book, and Besos for Baby, #40 on Betsy Bird’s list of the top 100 board books of all time. She’s been published by Knopf, Simon & Schuster, Roaring Brook, Little Brown, Workman, Chronicle, and Harper Collins and her books have been translated into multiple languages. When she’s not writing or editing, you can find Jen out walking with her dog, making pottery, or curled up with a good book. She and her husband live in sunny Tampa, Florida.
Jen is represented by Stephanie Fretwell-Hill.
