Lucy is a British picture book writer and illustrator. She has a BA in Fine Art Painting
and an MA in Children’s Picture Book Illustration. She lives with her husband and
three children in Norwich, UK and works from her studio at home. She also runs a
stationery and toy shop.
Her artwork is created using a range of media including pencil crayon, watercolour
and fine line pen. She constantly aims to expand her visual language and enjoys
using a sketchbook to record little moments that happen daily. She also loves pattern
and careful use of space to create texture and atmosphere.
Lucy’s storytelling tends to focus on emotional learning, laid out in a gentle and playful
way. She enjoys subtle humour and stories that are thought provoking and
encouraging to small readers and parents alike.
She has two books published to date the first called ‘The Song for Everyone’
Bloomsbury US/UK (2020). The second entitled ‘Mays Brave Day’ Bloomsbury US
(2023)
