Former band drummer, chef, and second grade teacher Marty Kelley has been dreaming up stories since he was just a young scallywag. Marty is also the author-illustrator of the eight-title chapter book series Molly Mac which has sold over 100,000 copies. His hybrid chapter book/graphic novel Pugnapped! (Union Square & Co.) was praised by Booklist which wrote, “this rib-tickler will pull chuckles even from earnest, young world savers and villain battlers.” A humorous picture book You Can’t is forthcoming from Sleeping Bear. Marty promotes his books by visiting over 120 schools per year throughout the country. When he’s not visiting schools, he enjoys building stone walls, painting watercolor portraits, and playing his drums.
