A former Regional Advisor for the SoCal chapter of SCBWI, Tim Burke writes light, adventure MG and slightly darker, angsty YA. He’s also been published in the two adult crime fiction magazines, Ellery Queen’s Mystery Magazine and Alfred Hitchcock’s Mystery Magazine. His work has been deemed “most promising” at San Diego’s MayFest and awarded first place at several SoCal SCBWI Tahquitz Retreat writing contests. To keep out of trouble, Tim performs as a semi-pro vocalist/guitarist in various working bands. In addition, not to brag, but he once fought off a butterfly in the bathroom with nothing more than a backhoe and a Campbell’s soup can walkie-talkie. At home with his awesome wife, he grovels on a daily basis to his overlord rescue mutt, Smokey.
