Brenda Maier
Brenda Maier’s debut picture book, The Little Red Fort, illustrated by the award-winning artist, Sonia Sanchez, is scheduled for a spring 2018 release from Scholastic Press. Her second book, Peeping Beauty, illustrated by Zoe Waring, will be released by Aladdin/Simon & Schuster in summer of 2018. Brenda is an active member of The Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators. When she isn’t writing, she enjoys traveling with her husband and five children, baking peanut-free cookies, and working as a gifted specialist in a large, suburban school district. Brenda lives with her family in Oklahoma, where she is surrounded by piles of laundry and even bigger piles of books.
