Suzanne Slade

Suzanne Slade is the author of more than 100 children's books. She enjoys writing about fascinating people in history and often shares her love of science in her books (Suzanne has a Mechanical Engineering degree). Some of her recent titles include The Inventor's Secret (2017 NSTA Best STEM Book list, 2016 NSTA Outstanding Science Trade Book), The Music in George's Head (JLG Selection, Starred Reviews - Kirkus, Booklist, School Library Journal, Junior Library Guild), The House That George Built (JLG Selection, Bank Street's Best Children's Books list), Friends for Freedom (Publisher's Weekly Starred Review, Amelia Bloomer List, Notable Social Studies Trade Books for Young People) and Out of School and Into Nature.
