Suzanne Slade

Suzanne Slade is the author of more than 100 children's books. She enjoys writing about fascinating people in history and often shares her love of science in her books (Suzanne has a Mechanical Engineering degree). Some recent picture books include: The House That George Built (JLG Selection, Bank Street's Best Children's Books list, 2016 IL READS selection), Climbing Lincoln's Steps (Notable Social Studies Trade Books for Young People, Paterson Prize), Friends for Freedom (Amelia Bloomer List, Notable Social Studies Trade Books for Young People, Publisher's Weekly Starred Review), The Soda Bottle School (Reading is Fundamental (RIF) 2015 Multicultural Booklist, 2015 Green Prize) and The Inventor's Secret (NSTA 2016 Outstanding Science Trade Book.)
