Kami Kinard
Kami Kinard is the author of the humorous middle grade novels, The Boy Problem and The Boy Project, both published with Scholastic. Her poetry, stories, articles, and essays have appeared in numerous periodicals for children and adults. Because she loves puzzling words together she enjoys writing everything from nonfiction to fantasy. A former public educator, Kami remains dedicated to teaching. She volunteers as a tutor for elementary students, is on the roster of teaching artists for the South Carolina Arts Commission, and is a mentor with the SCBWI mentorship program. Kami often leads writing workshops at conferences and in schools. She lives in beautiful, buggy, and balmy, Beaufort SC with her amazing family and the world’s smartest dog.
